FCF News
May 21, 2008
by: Jaime Luis (Wise Eagle) Fret

The Ponce De Leon Chapter is proud to announce that we have 21 new FCF members that passed their Trail of The Grizzly (Phase 1) and The Adventure Night (Phase 2) at Camp Sinai, Okeechobee, FL. We had an awesome call out for the Green Horns on Friday night and finally, the final call out on Sunday morning as new FCF members on 4/13/08 during our Pow Wow 2008. We inducted 16 Young Bucks and 5 Old Timers. The Green Horns had a very challenging time during their trek, but through much prayer and fasting, they were able to accomplish their goals of becoming the best of the best for Our Master Ranger Jesus Christ .

I want to thank the following FCF members who worked very hard to make this a reality: Mike González FCF Vice President Emeritus, Roberto Romero, Angel Sanchez our FCF Historian, Angel Tirado, Wilfredo Cuevas, Hector La Valle, Roberto González (Gopher), Roberto González (Aunt Jemima), Ariel Hernández, Noel "Jotan" Rivera, Nicolas Somarriba, Emmanuel Nina, Marcos Torres our new FCF Vice President, and our Young Bucks Aaron Rodríguez, Jeffrey Quiñones. Without their time, efforts and sacrifices this event would not have been a reality.

We challenged all the leaders and boys at Pow Wow 2008 to be the best of the best in becoming FCF members at our next Phase 1 and 2 on 2009, and many accepted the challenge.

The FCF Village with it's primitive shelters had a real feeling of the old days gone bye, again thank you Hector La Valle, Wilfredo Cuevas and Mike González who brought in their primitive shelters, FCF wares and displays. We had a very solemn and Spirit led service and Holy Communion where we had time to thank The Lord for His Wonderful Mercy and Love for us on the Saturday night service. The presence of The Holy Spirit was powerful and many were touched. We serve an Awesome God!!!!!!!!!

We are proud to present the following new FCF members:

1. Anthony Rivera - Working Ant - YB 2. Luis Avila - Humble Heart - YB

3. Victor Saez - Smiling Beaver - YB 4. Isaiah Pacheco - Truthful Squirrel - YB

5. Mark Torres - Broken Compass - YB 6. Matthew Torres - Eager Beaver - YB

In Christ,
